Daniel's filmmaking partnership with Guy in his Basement Productions' Adam Bertocci has spanned quite a few projects, but the first instance of their working closely together was when Adam took the post of character animator on Daniel's stop-motion Lego short Have You Seen This Man? They later did special effects work (with Daniel in charge) for The Caseys. Daniel's senior thesis film, Two Ugly Sisters, was co-written with that same Adam.

It was during those writing sessions that Daniel, an authentic Brit, recorded lines for See-Threepio in Run Leia Run. He was awarded a blanket credit of associate producer for all sorts of general assistance, most notably in preparing tapes for replication and distribution.
